Philippines - Navigational Warning for Dinagat Sound

Following the recent grounding of two vessels in the Dinagat Sound, Pandiman Philippines Inc (PPI) have issued a navigational warning. The vessels had loaded Nickel Ore in the Surigao area and were transitting the Sound. Charts of the area based on 1930's surveys show a depth of over 25m. However, the vessels ran aground on a reef at a depth of only 10m. Further information is given in the PPI circular which can be downloaded below.
