A Team Effort - 2010/2011 Edition - Trailer

Since the first edition of the Club's Guide to Casualty Investigation and Claims Handling was released in CD-ROM format in 2004, this production has been progressively revised and improved on an annual basis. The move to DVD format in particular has enabled an increasing volume of reference material to be incorporated and facilitated the introduction of multi language versions. The 2010/2011 edition which will be released shortly contains a completely new video section that was filmed on location in Hamburg, Monaco and London and also incorporates Korean and Russian versions in addition to the English, Chinese and Spanish language options that were available hitherto. As usual, the current Club Rules, List of Correspondents and details of Club contacts are incorporated, together with an expanded reference section.
The objective of loss prevention can be perceived as the avoidance of incidents that generate claims. However, even when incidents occur that give rise to P&I claims, the manner in which those claims are handled can have a substantial impact upon their ultimate cost and thereby prevent undue loss. Effective claims handling is crucial to minimising the Member's financial exposure. It requires co-ordinated effort from all concerned – the Club, the Member, the correspondents, experts, and lawyers. It is a team effort.

This trailer provides a brief introduction to the new video and the full version will be streamed on the web-site in the near future when the 2010/2011 version of the DVD has been released. As in the past, the production of A Team Effort was funded by The Ship Safety Trust.
